An isolated inertia block is strongly recommended for upper-floor installations. The structural engineer must account for both the static weight (machine + inertia block) and the dynamic loading from pump operation.
A lab-scale unit (5-40 L/h) can be uncrated, positioned, connected, and commissioned in 1-2 days. A production-scale unit (500-1000 L/h) typically requires 5-10 days: 2-3 days for mechanical placement and utility connection, 1-2 days for electrical connection and safety checks, 1-2 days for dry commissioning (water run), and 1-3 days for wet commissioning with product.
Contact your equipment supplier before ordering. Voltage and frequency are typically configurable at the motor level (different motor windings). Cooling water and compressed air specs are harder to change ? the equipment is designed around them.
